In late summer, early fall, we go in search of our roots, so to speak. We take our children to the apple orchards to pick apples. This year, we decided to take them to pick raspberries for the first time, too. It’s always a fun adventure and we always learn something.
We learned how to pick raspberries without touching thorns. We learned how to coexist with bees. We gained a much bigger respect for where our food comes from and how it gets to our plate.
My little ones really loved the experience! They were so proud of their pickings.
We managed to bring home a beautiful bounty!
Aren’t they beautiful?!
This was our view from the apple orchard.
We ended up with a giant bag of these beautiful Spartan apples.
And as an added reward, we found a beautiful nest among the Gala apples.
We had a great time and we look forward to visiting again!
But, for now.. I look forward to PIE!!
Look for it in future posts. I promise to show you how wonderful it is!
Thanks for visiting,
